Christmas Angel

I made this for a friend for Christmas last year.  I thought this was perfect for her.
I hope I remember details.  I did not write down the details when I made it last year.  The card base, I believe, is SU Rose Red.  The DP is from the DCWV Taj Mahal stack.  The stamp is Wags & Whiskers Say a Prayer.  The flowers I actually got from the Dollar Tree.  Love the surprises you can find there.  The ribbon is from my stash and the charm is from Stamp and Create.

More Christmas Cards...

The paper from the DCWV Christmas Stack are so pretty.  They also have some big graphics that worked perfectly as an element on a card.  The following are two of them:

The card base is PTI Kraft.  The bird and Noel element was a part that was left over from some of the paper I used for another card.  The ribbon is from my stash - I think I got it from the Dollar Tree (love that place).  The stamp "tis the season" is one of the Studio G stamps.
This reindeer card is from the same stack.  The ribbon I got from my mom's stash.  It was just a regular reindeer and I added a red jewel from Joann's.  Super simple.

Last Year's Christmas

It's been forever since I've posted.  I guess it's okay since I don't really have a lot of followers and I don't post often enough.  LOL!
I just wanted to share these Christmas cards I made last year.  I know a lot of people out there have started their Christmas cards already.  I, however, have not.  I should get started soon though.  Anyways, here are my cards...
On this first card, the pic I took was not very good.  It actually looked better in real life.  I did not write down all the card details but I will try my best to let you know what supplies I used.
The stamp is High Hopes Let Us Adore Him embossed on watercolor paper and colored with Twinkling H2Os.  The base is PTI Kraft.  The DP, I believe, is from DCWV Christmas Stack.  The Flowers are Primas and the brads are Stampin' Up (I think).  The charm is from Stamp and Create.
The bottom card is pretty much the same info, except it doesn't have a charm.

More Thank You cards...

I am really bad about posting the pix of the cards I have made... of course as of today I only have 3 followers - LOL - so it's okay! These are 2 of the thank you cards that are similar to the ones I made here.
This is Angel Anya from The Greeting Farm. She was stamped and embossed on watercolor paper and colored with Twinkling H2Os. The shape was cut with my Cricut with the Scallop Shaplie Mat from PDC. I covered her wings and halo with Stickles.

The card base is SU Very Vanilla. The DP is SU Sending Love. The pink matte is SU Pink Piroutte. The flowers are Primas set with red brads. The ribbon is actually from the Dollar Tree.

The next card is similar. The ribbon is from my scraps.

Dumb Bass

Such a funny title! The following card is one I made for my brother. My kids and I thought it was hilarious! The fish and captions stamps are from Skipping Stones Designs. Its a set called Holy Carp.
I am also entering it into the CPS 224 Challenge.
The card bast is SU Tempting Turquoise. The blue cardstock is one from Joann's. It was embossed with Spots and Dots embossign folder and the Cuttlebug and distressed some. The fish was watercolored with Twinkling H2Os. You can't really tell but the water line is embossed with Cobalt Blue embossing powder.

Teachers Appreciation Gifts

I have to think up some new Teacher's Appreciation Gifts. This year there are a lot more teachers - since my oldest is in middle school. The gifts for his teachers will be smaller because there are so many and because he doesn't really like handing out stuff in front of his friends. It's not "cool". Sniff sniff... they grow up so fast. I still will spoil my youngest's teacher (4th grade).
The following pix are gifts that I made last year and just never got a chance to post. Simple, fast - not too embellished which was great because it made it easier and I did something for them every day during that week.

The template is the Pack a Picnic My Timeless Template by Lauren Meader for Papertrey Ink. It is so easy to do. The template base is SU Old Olive and the DP is one of the DCWV School Stacks. Can't remember which one. I filled it with Chocolate Covered Strawberries. I plan on doing that again this year. Chocolate Covered Strawberries are always a good gift!

The other baskets are basically the same except different colors to represent each teacher's favorite color. The red basket is PTI Pure Poppy and the yellow basket is SU So Saffron. All the DP comes from the same DCWV School Stack.

I will be posting some more pix from last year when I get a chance.

My Favorite Papertrey Ink Project

Papertrey Ink is having an anniversary! When I started stamping, I started with Stampin' Up products. I was in a stamp club. Talking with the gals led me to some really cool blogs where I started seeing some really nice projects using items from other companies. My first order with Papertrey Ink happened to be of the paper they carry. They have the best quality paper ever! Whenever I want to make a 3D project, their paper is the best to use. I have been slowly building up my stash - because I have to get rid of all the other stacks and stacks of paper I have.
I began to order a few of their stamps, but being a teacher, my all time favorite stamp sets are Teacher's Apple and Inside & Out: Thank You. So when it came time for Teacher Appreciation Week last year (May 2010), I turned to those stamps for a gift for my son's 5th grade teacher.
I have not posted these projects yet. I have made so many projects and little by little I have been uploading them here. Anyway - here it is:This is the card that I made to go along with a notepad set (next picture) that I copied from one that Lacey made for me when I was her daughter's Kindergarten teacher. The card uses PTI's Inside & Out: Thank You. The notepad holder uses PTI's Teacher's Apple. I should've taken a pic of the notepad opened so that you could see what it looks like inside. The letters for the teacher's name comes from a retired Stampin' Up set Best Friends Alphabet. The card and notepad base is SU Kiwi Kiss. The purple mats are PTI's Plum Pudding that was embossed. The DP is DCWV Flower Shower Spring Stack. The button on the notepad is from my stash. The ribbon on the card is from Dollar Tree and the charm is from Stamp and Create.
The next one is for the second teacher in his class...
All the materials and the embellishments for both sets are the same. I hope you like them.
Congratulations Papertrey Ink. You are a source of inspiration for so many!
Gracias for coming by! Adios!
